A New Mexico woman is in police custody today after authorities say she got into an altercation with her daughter in law and ripped off her nipple. Police report that 46-year-old Amelia Oveide “grabbed (the victim's) right breast and began to squeeze and pull on her nipple" Dec. 12 when the victim tried to intervene in an argument between Oveide and her son.
The victim yelled for the woman to stop and when she refused, began punching Oveide in the face. Las Cruces police officers responded to Memorial Medical Center where doctors tried to reattach the nipple and were reportedly unsuccessful. Oveide will be charged with aggravated battery against a household member, causing great bodily harm, simple battery and breaking and entering after reportedly kicking down the back door of the victim's home.
