This morning I decided to listen to Music Choice (music stations on television) and I was thinking what would be a good song for throwback Thursday. Shortly after, Musiq Soulchild's first single "Just Friends" came on and I said to myself perfect!
The single was released back in 2000 and was featured on The Nutty Professor 2: Soundtrack and also on Musiq's first album Aijuswanaseing which is certified platinum. The album is classic that spawned numerous hits and a sound that we didn't hear often during that time. There isn't another neo-soul/soul/R&B artist that has spawned more hits than Musiq making him in my opinion, the King. He continues to make timeless hits releasing his 6th studio album MusiqInTheMagiq this past Tuesday. He also has two singles out now "Anything" featuring Swizz Beatz and "Yes".
