Yesterday the Internet went crazy over reports that Mavericks player DeShawn Stevenson was arrested for public intoxication. DeShawn, who just won his first championship this past Sunday with the Dallas Mavericks claims he was at a friend's apartment celebrating and he went outside to look for his phone when police approached him, asked was he drunk, and then all of a sudden put him in handcuffs. DeShawn also stated that "outside of his suit attire he may look suspect", but that's still no reason for him to be arrested.
In other words he's saying police arrested him because he was a big black man outside by himself with a bunch of tattoos. During the video DeShawn contradicts himself a few times and it is very apparent that he needs a public speaking class. Nonetheless, then is no doubt in my mind this n*gga was drunk that night.
