It amazing me how quickly people hop on a new trend, in many cases without even fully understanding what it is or represents. The new fad is now planking which involves lying straight, face down, and with your arms to your side in a public place, and then posting the pictures to Facebook or Twitter. It has been said that planking is a mockery of what the slaves went through doing slavery when they were placed lying face down with their arms chained.
