Word on the street is Ciara has been dropped from Jive Records. Allegedly things started going south for the singer at the label when she got a new A&R team in 2009. In December she dropped her latest album "Basic Instinct" which has only sold an estimated 40k to date. The poor album sales could be due to poor advertising and promoting nobody even knew she had a album coming out.
Recently Ciara told fans that the duet with Usher "Turn It Up" was to be the next single to hit the radio March 8th. It has since been removed. That gave even more speculation that Ciara was told to kick rocks. Insiders say that she is a drain on label resources because she does not know her artistry and is unable to pin down a unique sound.
Comments by Ciara to Gerrick Kennedy of the Los Angeles Times, where said to have angered label executives, especially when the singer said she wasn't bothered about album sales but saw the future and money in touring.Ciara and Jive executives are said to have reached mutual terms to end their partnership, effective immediately.
Ciara allegedly is in talks with Interscope Records.
If true I am not surprised at ALL. That child can not sing. She just needs to be a dancer or something.

Wow! Sucks 4 her. But yea her promo is very poor. She needs a promo team or somethin & if she already got 1 she bet not tell nobody. lol.
