Stacey Dash Leaves 'Single Ladies'

Rumors have been going around for the past month about actress Stacey Dash being fired from her show 'Single Ladies', and today she released a statement saying that she was leaving the show.

Stacey released the following statement to Global Grind:

"I truly enjoyed playing Val on 'Single Ladies', but I have decided to leave the show. I have to be back in L.A. with my children right now and the 'Single Ladies' shooting location makes that impossible. I wish VH1 the best of luck with the show and in maintaining the strong fan base we developed in season one."

Video: A Sneak Peak At Tyler Perry's New Show 'For Better or Worse'

Now that Tyler Perry's House of Payne and Meet the Browns have run its course, super producer Tyler Perry has struck a new deal with TBS.  The new deal calls for 10 episodes of his newest series For Better or Worse which is based off the hilarious and drama filled couple Angela and Marcus from his successful 'Why Did I Get Married' movie series. Tasha Smith and Michael Jai White who play 'Angela and Marcus' in the movie are also starring in the television show. If the show does well with the 10 episodes, TBS will sign on for 100 episodes as they did for Tyler's two previous shows. For Better or Worse premieres November 23 on TBS.

T.I. Released From Prison + Gets New Vh1 Reality Show

After serving 10 months in an Arkansas prison, Atlanta rapper T.I. has been released from prison early. T.I.'s original date for release was September 29th. He will serve the remainder of his sentence is a halfway house in Atlanta.

Now this was the first tweet on Amber's account in two days, and I was certain that she was hacked because I can't see her tweeting anything like that.

I swear it's like every NBA or former NBA player has lost their damn mind this summer.

Former Washington Wizards player Javaris Crittenton, probably best know for his gun in locker room incident with then teammate Gilbert Arenas, is wanted for the murder of a 22 year old mother of 4 in Atlanta this past Friday.


 Yahoo Sports reports:

Police spokesman Carlos Campos said police have secured a murder warrant for the arrest of Crittenton, who played at Georgia Tech, in connection with the shooting death of 22-year-old Jullian Jones on Aug. 19. Campos said Crittenton is not in custody and is wanted.

Atlanta police Maj. Keith Meadows told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Friday night that Crittenton is believed to be in the Los Angeles area. He said the FBI is involved in the investigation. Jillian Jones, a mother of four, was walking with a group of people on the city’s southwest side when a dark-colored SUV drove by and she was shot by someone inside the vehicle, police said.

This man is a hot a** mess.

 Why is it that every time Katt Williams' name is mentioned it's never positive? He is constantly getting arrested, sued, or thrown out of a venue. His recent attendance at a Young Jeezy concert in Phoenix, Arizona was no different. Katt and his entourage get into a major scuffle which ends in Katt parading around shirtless and beating his chest like a gorilla, and eventually them being escorted out the venue. Of course Jeezy wasn't too happy about all the drama that was going on either.

Missy Elliott Remembers Aaliyah

As you know, today marks the 10th anniversary of R&B singer Aaliyah's death and celebrities have been paying tribute to her throughout the day. One of Aaliyah's closest friends Missy Elliott took time to remember her dear friend over at CNN:

Today is the 10 year anniversary of Aaliyah’s passing and I’m sitting here reminiscing and playing music, thinking of the times we spent together, working, laughing, singing, dancing, cutting up. But really, it’s not all that different from any other day because I do think about her every day.

Not on purpose, but she is my friend and that’s just how I do. I’ve told the same stories for 9 years – how we met, how me and Tim were scared but Aaliyah was so welcoming and had this smile and way about her that put us at ease, that she liked to take chances and we were able to just be who we were and make good records together.

I’ve noticed on this show, you guys have disagreements. We’ve never seen that side because you were doing sitcoms, but how do you guys have disagreements and still bring the love back? How do you not allow those disagreements to come between you two?

I think the main thing is you really have to know that the other person really loves and cares for you. If you don’t then it gets kind of messy. Also, you just have to communicate. I think that’s what Tamera and I are working at. Just because we have disagreements or confrontations doesn’t necessarily mean we don’t love each other. I believe that if you’re in a relationship–whether it’s marital or boyfriend and girlfriend–if everything is all good and hunky dory all the time somebody is lying. You have to be able to say, “No, I don’t like that.” To me, that’s what keeps things healthy. You should be able to disagree, but you should be able to work out those disagreements. Tamera and I are working on that.


This is your first reality show. What’s the difference between shooting a reality show and shooting sitcoms?

Video: The Game Gets In Fight In Club Parking Lot

Can't we all just get along?

Fresh off the release of his 4th album The R.E.D. Album, rapper Game finds himself in a little bit of trouble. Early Tuesday morning (which was the day his album was released) Game got into an altercation in front of a Hollywood night club and the incident was caught on tape.

TMZ reports: 

The Game has been accused of punching a man in the face in front of a Hollywood nightclub early Tuesday morning ... law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

We're told the rapper has been named in a police report ... filed by a man who claims he was attacked by The Game in front of Colony nightclub.

TMZ obtained footage of the incident -- which shows The Game engaged in a physical altercation ... but it's unclear if the rapper actually threw a punch.

After the initial skirmish, a fired up Game can be seen yelling in frustration -- and was restrained by his friends.

We're told the LAPD is investigating the incident ... but no arrests have been made.

So far, no word from The Game himself -- but people close to the rapper tell us he denies hitting anyone.

From watching it appears as if Game was trying to initially break the altercation up. Then you see him all in a guys face and the BOOM, the scuffle begins. A friend grabs his out of the scuffle and you hear Game yelling at the women he's with to go home. Game then tries to get back into a scuffle but again friends hold him back. He then addresses his female friends again and pushes them towards there car and says "Get in the f*ckin' car and go, learn how to listen sh*t". I thought that was pure comedy. Do you think they listened? Hell naw. Towards the end of the video you can hear Game yelling at them again saying "What did I say?".

Jamie Foxx To Bring Back 'Showtime At The Apollo'

I'm pretty sure we all remember those days when we used to stay up until the wee hours of the night to catch Showtime at the Apollo. The talent show themed show featured amateur acts that performed and were judged by the audience, and also featured performances by established acts. Many of today's artists got their start on apollo such as Lauryn Hill, Sammie, Jazmine Sullivan, Ne-yo, Jamie Foxx, and many many more.

Showtime at the Apollo ran for 21 years before it was canceled in 2008 and now actor/singer/comedian Jamie Foxx has decided to bring it back. Jamie will act as executive producer for the show which will air on BET.

Will & Jada Release Joint Statement: "Our Marriage Is Intact"

After rumors hit the net earlier today of power couple Will & Jada being separated, the couple's oldest son Trey spoke out and said the rumor's about his parents were false. Now the couple decides to speak out. In a statement released to Entertainment Tonight the couple state that their marriage is very much intact.

"Although we are reluctant to respond to these types of press reports, the rumors circulating about our relationship are completely false. We are still together, and our marriage is intact."

Will Smith's Son Trey Responds To Will & Jada Divorce Rumors: "NOT True At All"

Earlier today the internet went crazy when In Touch Weekly reported that an 'insider' told them that Hollywood power couple Will & Jada Smith are separated after 13 years of marriage. TMZ also reported that they had contacted Jada's rep, Karynne Tencer, who responded:

"What? In Touch said that? I know nothing about this ... Lord. I'm going back to bed."

Memphitz (Toya Carter's Husband) Arrested For Bringing Gun Through Airport Security

Mickey "Memphitz" Wright, husband to Toya Wright (formerly Carter) was arrested today at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta airport for trying to bring a gun on the plane.

According to TMZ, Memphitz put his backpack through the security scanner and airport security immediately contacted police. According to law enforcement,Memphitz claims he forgot the gun was in his bag. Memphitz is licensed to carry the gun, but it's illegal to carry it on the plane. It must to transported through checked baggage unloaded and in a proper case. At the time of this writing Memphitz was still in custody.

Yesterday the annual "Battle of the Bay" pre-season game was held which consist of the San Francisco 49ers vs. the Oakland Raiders. Being from the bay area myself, I've experienced first hand how intense fans of both teams are which has often lead to fights at the games. Yesterday was no different as various fights took place and two people were shot.

According to Football News Now, the annual 'Battle of the Bay' exhibition game for next season is canceled due to fan violence. Such a shame that people just don't know how to act.

Blogger Kid Fury Writes Open Letter To Kreayshawn

If you haven't heard of her already, Kreayshawn is a white female rapper from Oakland, California who recently rose to fame with her song "Gucci, Gucci". She recently signed a rumored million dollar deal with Columbia Records and has been on her grind every since performing sold out shows all around the world.

Kreayshawn has also been under fire for her alleged use of the word 'n*gga' in her rhymes which she has denied using time and time again. She has also been criticized for being not that great of a rapper, which I definitely agree with. The chick is wack, point blank period.

Hilarious blogger Kid Fury has written an open letter to Kreayshawn on Vibe.com where he expresses his true feelings about her. He talks about her name, how she can't rap, and her crew 'White Girl Mob', and more.
