Will & Jada Take Part Ownership In Philidelphia 76ers

Will and Jada Smith are the latest celebrities to take ownership in a professional sports team. The couple went back to Will's Philly roots and are now part owners of the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers. The team was actually sold in it's entirety to an investment group for a reported $280 million.

Comcast-Spectacor today announced that the sale of the Philadelphia 76ers to a group led by Joshua Harris, Co-Founder of Apollo Management LP, was approved by the National Basketball Association’s Board of Governors, signifying the completion of the sale. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.The acquisition does not include the Wells Fargo Center or the Philadelphia Flyers, which are owned by Comcast-Spectacor. The 76ers sale price was reportedly $280 million. 

The team will remain a long-term tenant of the Wells Fargo Center and will have a long-term cable broadcast agreement for its games with Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia.

Will & Jada Release Joint Statement: "Our Marriage Is Intact"

After rumors hit the net earlier today of power couple Will & Jada being separated, the couple's oldest son Trey spoke out and said the rumor's about his parents were false. Now the couple decides to speak out. In a statement released to Entertainment Tonight the couple state that their marriage is very much intact.

"Although we are reluctant to respond to these types of press reports, the rumors circulating about our relationship are completely false. We are still together, and our marriage is intact."

Kerry Washington & Columbus Short Land Lead Roles In New TV Show

Actress Kerry Washington & Actor Columbus Short are headed to TV. The pair have landed the lead roles in the new ABC Drama series "In Crisis" written by Shonda Rhimes the writer behind "Grey's Anatomy" & "Private Practice".

The show is centered around Kerry's character Olivia Price, which is based off the real life of Judy Price, a management counselor. Columbus will play a lawyer on her team

We need to see more of our people on TV so I hope this show lasts. Black folks be the first one hollerin' when a show gets canceled but they don't support their own the way they are supposed to. Don't be mad at me, I'm just speakin the truth.
