La La & Carmelo Anthony Head Back to Reality TV

The newly wed couple is heading back to reality TV. Last year we saw the journey to their wedding on La La's Full Court Wedding, now the couple brings us La La's Full Court Life. The show will follow La La through her career, family life and life as a NBA wife. They actually started filming the show last month so we will be able to see the behind the scenes action as the couple make their move to New York given how Carmelo is now a New York Knick as of Monday. The show is set to hit VH1 August 10th.

I doubt I will watch because honestly, them seem quite boring. They are a very positive couple and I'm not looking for a bunch of drama, but I'm looking for some type of entertainment and their personalities are kind of blahhhh.

E-40 to Release Two New Albums Next Month

XXL reports that Bay Area rapper E-40 will be releasing two new albums next month. The two cd's titled Revenue Retrievin’ Graveyard Shift and Revenue Retrievin’ Overtime Shift, follow last year's Revenue Retrievin' Day shift and Revenue Retrievin' Night Shift. The new album is co-produced by E-40's son Droop-E and features guest appearance by Too Short, Bun-B, Slim Thug, and a host of Bay Area artist. The albums are set to drop March 29th. YEEEEEE!

Fantasia To Play Gospel Legend Mahalia Jackson..Told To Gain 30-45 lbs

 R&B singer Fantasia has just landed her first major role. The American Idol winner is set to play Gospel Legend Mahalia Jackson in the film adaptation of the 1993 book Got to Tell It: Mahalia Jackson, Queen of Gospel. There have been rumors circulating that Fantasia was pregnant but in fact she is not. She has been instructed to gain 30-45 pounds for the film so that is why she is lookin a little plumper these days.

On her guest editor day she shares her experiences on Sister Sister, The Game cancellation, photos from her & her husband's superbowl party, how she transitioned from a child star to an adult actress and more. On the signs that your show is being cancelled:
When we were in The Game’s third season, I noticed there were things with the production that were changing. That’s usually the first sign of a show being in trouble whether it’s premature on not. Even on Sister, Sister there were production costs within our sixth year. That’s the first sign that you see when you’re discussing cancellation. We were never told anything. Ordinarily you would have a nice spread for food for the actors [from craft services] and show staff while you’re working. But slowly and surely it became just peanut butter and jelly. Usually they give wardrobe more money to spend to do shopping for clothes, but then we found ourselves wearing the same clothes and just finessing different ways of wearing them. Or usually we would do more outside shots, which costs more money, but we weren’t doing any of  that anymore.

Rihanna Agrees To Restraining Order Lift Against Chris Brown

 As previously reported Chris Brown requested that the restraining order against him to stay away from Rihanna be lifted. The judge said he'd consider it after speaking with Rihanna first. Well the news is in and E! Online reports that Rihanna has requested that the order be dropped to a level one, meaning that they can have contact as long as Brown doesn't annoy, molest or harass her. Chris' attorney Mark Geragos has been informed of her approval, but he still needs to go to court to have the order officially modified by a judge.

"Some people say, 'You've definitely had your nose done.' If I had, I would say, 'Here's the doctor, he's amazing, and I'll make the appointment for you.' Sometimes I'll see pictures that say I've had my nose done, and the before pic is after the after. Someone saw me last night and my nose was so contoured. And they were like, 'You've had your nose done?' And I was like, 'No, wait until I wash my face.'"

Trey Songz Plans To Release New Album This Year

 Even with all the success R&B singer Trey Songz has had in the last 2 years, he's not ready to take a break. Trey recently sat down with Billboard  and expressed that he's working on a new album

"I want to release an album this year," the Atlanta-based R&B singer tells Billboard.com. "We're starting in the studio now. I'm always thinking about music. I'm in the studio whenever I can be. I'm not pressed or in a rush to make an album right now, but I always have a need to make music."

Waka Flocka to Become Face of PETA....

Rapper Waka Wocka as I call him, recently revealed to  XXL that he will be the new face of PETA (People for Ethical Treatment of Animals). Your probably saying to yourself "what the f*ck, this can't be for real" but indeed it is. On February 22nd Waka will be joining PETA's "Ink Not Mink" campaign in Los Angeles along with Lady Gaga, Mariah Carey, and Pink.

“Animals should be treated the same as you would a kid. Would you want someone just to walk up and skin your kid? Hell no!" -Waka Wocka



Knowing Waka, he probably see's this as some kind of community service, maybe he thinks it will help his case.*shrugs*

Trey Songz Sued For 18 Million Over Rights To "Bottoms Up"

Over the past 2 years R&B singer Trey Songz has reached a level of success many didn't see coming. Releasing two albums in a years time with both albums certified Gold.Not to mention touring with Jay-Z and Usher. Can it get any better than that? Well it looks like there might be a little bump in his road of success. Hip Hop Wired reports that a law suit has been filed against Trey for 18 million. Peep the details below.

A DC based production company has filed an $18 million lawsuit claiming they own the rights to the hit song "Bottoms Up" performed by Trey Songz and Nicki Minaj, but were never compensated or credited with making the track.

Chris Brown Announces Album Release Date..Will Perform On Saturday Night Live

Chris Brown recently announced that his new album "F.A.M.E." will be in stores March 22nd. He also announced that he will be making an appearance on Saturday Night Live on February 12th. Chris has released two singles from the upcoming album "Look At Me Now" featuring Busta Rhymes & Lil' Wayne and the pop friendly song "Beautiful People" (which by the way when I first heard it I didn't think it was really him. It's way too much pop for me). It seems as if 2011 is going to be a good year for Chris. I wish him the best of luck!

Gilbert Arenas Served Child Support Papers At Halftime

Orlando guard Gilbert " I got guns" Arenas was served child support papers Thursday night's game against the Miami Heat during halftime. His ex Laura Govan (sister of Basketball Wives star Gloria Govan) is not playing bout her paper. That was a real ghetto move having him served during a game. Straight Gangsta! 

In the petition, she is seeking $109,000 in monthly support payments from Arenas and $1.3 million annually. Govan could not be reached for comment. A hearing in the case has been set for March 8 in Los Angeles. Orlando plays at Sacramento on March 9.

The Hardricts have announced that this July they will be welcoming a baby...BOY! The couple will document Tia's pregnancy on a reality show on style network.

Another Real Housewives Show... Real Housewives of Miami

  

The Real Housewives of Miami ( which as you can see has no black wives smh) is Bravo's latest installment of the housewives series. It features a gang a women who I never heard of and I'm pretty sure you haven't either. Although I do find it a little interesting that two of wives have links to the NBA. One is Cristina Rice; ex-wife of ex-NBA baller Glen Rice, and the other is Larsa Pippen; current wife of Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen (who isn't happy his wife is on the show). We need another housewives installment that is going to give us some drama lol.

Mr. "Raise The Roof" Himself Uncle Luke is Running For Mayor of Miami

Uncle Luke aka Luther Campbell is running for mayor. What is the word coming to? Lol. He recently sat down with  Miami New Times and discussed his quest to become mayor. Read the interview below.

 

New Times: Why are you running? Are you crazy?
Luther Campbell: I am mad frustrated. I have always been involved in politics, going back to my battles in the city of Miami Beach, dealing with the city commissioners and the mayor. I ran my own nightclub, and I believed African-Americans were treated badly during Memorial Day weekend.

 I’ve thought about running for public office before, but someone would always end up talking me out of it, saying, “We have this good person here, he will do good for the community,” so I always backed out. But I’d end up frustrated because they didn’t do anything. I’d give them ideas and they would just tell me what they wanted to hear.

Fabolous Sued Over Assault

Octavious Butler, filed a lawsuit Monday in Fulton County Superior Court alleging that the 31-year-old New York rapper Fabolous real name John Jackson, assaulted the restaurant bus boy at the Atlanta Fox Sports Grill where he worked.

Butler is claiming in the suit that the 31-year-old rapper and his associate were unprovoked when they hit him in the head with a glass bottle and struck him with closed fists.

Rapper Juelz Santana, real name Laron James (can't help but think of LeBron lol), was charged on Wednesday with possession of a firearm and a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a handgun without having a permit, possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance, and possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance within 1,000 feet of a school zone.
