{Video} San Francisco Police Chief Walks Out On Townhouse Meeting: Residents Express Outrage Over Killing Of Kenneth Harding
Two days ago a meeting was head at the Bayview Opera house regarding the shooting last weekend of Kenneth Harding. Kenneth was shot by San Francisco Police officers after running from police officers for not having bus fare. Residents say the man was unarmed and police just shot him down in cold blood, but police say he had a gun and actually started shooting at them first while running away. The aftermath of the shooting was caught on camera where there residents who witness the shooting can be heard screaming at the police officers asking "where the gun at?".You can watch the graphic footage here.
A view from another angle shows what appears to be a silver gun about 25 feet in front of the victim and a man bending over and picking it up. The witness who recorded that footage came forward to support the allegations that the victim in fact was armed. Police later recovered said gun.
In the video below, San Francisco Police Chief Greg Suhr attempts to answer questions about the shooting but the crowd is so hostile they all attempt to talk at once and aren't really trying to hear what he has to say.

Too $hort brings us a visual for his track "Oakland". The video touches on life in Oakland and more specifically a lot of the violence that goes on there. The 50 Greatest Bay Area Rap Songs
The Bay Area has a chip on its shoulder when it comes to hip-hop. Everyone steals Bay Area slang, but the radio won't play Bay Area music. It doesn't help that The Bay's artists never want to deal with major labels, and then cry foul when they don't get spins any further east than Sacramento. This relative isolation has led to a certain kind of creativity, or strangeness, depending on how one sees it. Whether it's E-40's "Woody Woodpecker on crack" voice, Keak da Sneak's smoker's cough gibberish, Mac Dre's ecstasy-twisted dance moves, or Andre Nickatina's apparent obsession with Jungle Book, some of the Bay Area's most celebrated artists are downright bizarre and that's what people love about them.

Los Angeles - A Miami man who allegedly smuggled $100,000 worth of cocaine into Los Angeles International Airport by hiding the powder in candy Easter eggs must remain behind bars pending a hearing next month, a federal judge ruled today.
Esteban Galtes, 23, is charged with importation of a controlled substance. If convicted, he could face a maximum penalty of life in prison.
Galtes was taken into custody at LAX last Thursday night upon his return from Colombia. Dropout Rate For Blacks In California High Schools 37 Percent
More than a third of California’s African American public high school students dropped out before graduation day, a startling number and one that’s on the rise, according to 2009 data released Tuesday. The 37 percent African American dropout rate, up three percentage points from the prior year, was far above that of any other ethnic subgroup. Hispanic students had the second highest rate at 27 percent. Locally, San Francisco cautiously celebrated a 9 percent overall dropout rate, a stark contrast to Oakland’s 40 percent, numbers still under review for accuracy.
