Photo: A First Look At Tia Mowry-Hardrict's Baby

Tia recently sat down with The Urban Daily and spoke about being a new mother to baby boy Cree Taylor Hardrict, her reality show with twin sister Tamera, keeping the sexy in your marriage after a baby & more.
Check out a few excerpts below:
I’ve noticed on this show, you guys have disagreements. We’ve never seen that side because you were doing sitcoms, but how do you guys have disagreements and still bring the love back? How do you not allow those disagreements to come between you two?
I think the main thing is you really have to know that the other person really loves and cares for you. If you don’t then it gets kind of messy. Also, you just have to communicate. I think that’s what Tamera and I are working at. Just because we have disagreements or confrontations doesn’t necessarily mean we don’t love each other. I believe that if you’re in a relationship–whether it’s marital or boyfriend and girlfriend–if everything is all good and hunky dory all the time somebody is lying. You have to be able to say, “No, I don’t like that.” To me, that’s what keeps things healthy. You should be able to disagree, but you should be able to work out those disagreements. Tamera and I are working on that.

This is your first reality show. What’s the difference between shooting a reality show and shooting sitcoms?

"The Game" and "Let's Stay Together" Renewed; Plus New BET Sitcom

Season 5 of "The Game" moves from 12 episodes to 22 episodes and "Let's Stay Together" renewed for 22 episodes (idk why), both return in January 2012. BET starts a new sitcom "Reed Between The Lines", starring Tracee Ellis Ross (Joan from Girlfriends) and Malcolm Jamal Warner (Theo from The Cosby Show). The sitcom will feature Ross as Dr. Carla Reed, a busy psychiatrist wife and mother of three juggling a career and hectic home life. Warner plays her English professor spouse. "Reed Between The Lines" is  set to premiere in October. Also, there are talks of a "Girlfriends" movie coming soon if enough fans show support as they did for the return of "The Game".

And that concludes your dose of Black Television news lol.

Tia Mowry -Hardrict Talks "The Game" Cancellation & Comeback, Sister Sister & More

The Game's star Tia Mowry recently was guest editor for Vibe.com. On her guest editor day she shares her experiences on Sister Sister, The Game cancellation, photos from her & her husband's superbowl party, how she transitioned from a child star to an adult actress and more. Check out a few excerpts below:

On the signs that your show is being cancelled:
When we were in The Game’s third season, I noticed there were things with the production that were changing. That’s usually the first sign of a show being in trouble whether it’s premature on not. Even on Sister, Sister there were production costs within our sixth year. That’s the first sign that you see when you’re discussing cancellation. We were never told anything. Ordinarily you would have a nice spread for food for the actors [from craft services] and show staff while you’re working. But slowly and surely it became just peanut butter and jelly. Usually they give wardrobe more money to spend to do shopping for clothes, but then we found ourselves wearing the same clothes and just finessing different ways of wearing them. Or usually we would do more outside shots, which costs more money, but we weren’t doing any of  that anymore.

The Game's Character "Kelly Pitts" Reduced To A Reoccuring Character

So as we all know CW sitcom "The Game" is back and made its 4th season premiere this past Tuesday on its new network BET. The cast had been doing alot of promo for the weeks leading up to the premiere but "The Game" star Brittany Daniel also know as "Kelly Pitts" hasn't been at alot of the events. No one knows exactly why she hasn't been at all the events (although fellow cast member Pooch "Derwin" Hall did state at their appearance on Monday night's "Mo'Nique Show" that Brittany had to attend her nephew's baptism that's why she was absent).

Brittany revealed in an interview last year with Vibe that her character has been reduced to a reocurring role so one can only assume that this might have something to do with her absences.

Read the interview below:

What’s different for me is I was a series regular before and now I’m just a reoccurring character on the show. We did 13 episodes and I’m just contracted to do six. Another change is that we’re shooting in Atlanta and that’s different. [The Game was previously filmed in Los Angeles.]

Wow, that’s really disappointing. Did the powers that be tell you why they reduced your role?

I wasn’t happy about it, I wanted to do all the episodes but I think it was a financial thing. So I think the biggest difference for me between working for CW and BET is on the CW I made more money [laughs]. But the reason I came back to do the show is that I love the show. And I love, love the people that I work with so even though it came down to [my reduced role] I had to be supportive of the rest of the cast. I know me not showing up would affect a lot of story lines differently so I decided to be a team player anyway.

Are there any other changes in having The Game going from a network to a basic cable channel?

We’re shooting thirteen episodes at one time. So we’ll be finished with shooting thirteen episodes in a month and a half. The first day of my shooting day I did a scene from the last episode. Then after lunch you might be shooting a scene from the first episode. So that was really challenging to keep up with where you are in the story from hour to hour.

Whoa. Really? Most dramas and sitcoms take several months to shoot a whole season worth of shows.

Tia Mowry-Hardrict AKA Melanie From "The Game" is PREGNANT!!

US Magazine reports that her rep has confirmed that "The Game" star is indeed 3 months pregnant. Tia and her husband of 2 years actor Cory Hardrict will be expecting their new bundle of joy July 3. The pregnacy will be documented on a new reality show on Style Network.

I thought she was looking a little plump as you can see in the photo above with BET president Debra Lee that was taken at "The Game's" New York premiere last night.
